Na’ O Tewa Khawe, Kaat’sáy, heda na O medikana khawe, Lysha, na Nanbé Ówîngeh O widi O mu.

Greetings! My Tewa name is Kaat’sáy but you can call me Lysha, and I come from the Tribe of Nambe Pueblo in Northern New Mexico!

As a member of Nanbé Ówîngeh, one of the 6 Tewa speaking Tribes in New Mexico, I find a lot of inspiration in my people and our ways.

Existing as a modern Native woman means finding the balance between the two worlds we walk in.

Kaat’sáy is a love letter to my people, written on the pages of modern fashion and jewelry, because our lands, our people, our art, should be celebrated every day.

Reducing waste in the fashion world is a tough ask. Kaat’say aims to help by giving discarded pieces a second chance. Every piece of clothing that isn’t handmade, has been acquired second-hand, and has been given new life through patchwork, embroidery, screen printing, or block printing.
